Hi, I'm Ben!  I've been a professional musician and entertainer for almost 14 years now, having played well over 2,500 gigs in the corporate, private events, weddings, and original music worlds across Lower Mainland BC and Southern Ontario.  In 2013, I left my previous career as an elevator technician to pursue music full-time.

I moved to Port Coquitlam BC from the Toronto area in 2017, and quickly thereafter met my wife.  I've been a fixture of the local brewery/bar/restaurant musician circuit in both Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley since then.

In 2021, coming out of all the COVID lockdowns, I started getting more and more couples approaching me at gigs asking if I would play at their weddings.  This kicked off my adventures in the wedding industry.  I started including DJ services with my live music performances for an all-in-one Wedding Day Music package to couples.  This proved to be a big hit with clients!

In late 2024, my wife and I relocated to Chilliwack.  Through serendipity, I was connected with Bridlewoods Event Center and became one of their "in-house" DJ/music providers almost immediately.  Working with Bridlewoods has been an absolute pleasure, and has introduced me to dozens of wonderful wedding professionals that I'm happy to recommend to potential clients.

The weddings and events side of my music activities eventually grew busy enough to warrant a separate business and brand -- Black Tie Music & Light.  Through my years in the live music and wedding worlds, I've built a large network of talented musicians, Dj's, photographers, videographers, venues, wedding and event planners, and officiants.  We endeavour to be a one-stop for the Soundtrack to your Big Day, but are more than happy to help you put the whole thing together and make your ideas reality.
